titre du spectacle Chartres mille ans d'éclat

An immersive experience at the heart of history

In the centuries-old shadow of the Cellier de Loëns, the stones still resonate with the echoes of the past, ready to reveal Chartres’ thousand years of brilliance through a unique immersive experience.

From the very first moments, the walls light up, the vaults come to life, and history comes to life before the amazed eyes of the spectators. From the clatter of the builders’ tools sculpting the majestic cathedral to the play of light sublimating the stained-glass windows for which it is famous, each tableau invites visitors to take a journey through the ages.

The coronation of Henri IV resonates in the cellar, while the shadow of Jean Moulin recalls the dark and heroic hours of the Resistance. Guided by the emblematic figures of Fulbert, General Marceau and Charles Péguy, the spectator travels through the great stages of Chartres’ history, sublimated by 360° projections, striking reconstructions and enveloping spatialized sound.

Every detail of the 12th-century architecture becomes the medium for a vibrant narrative, where the magic of light and technological innovation merge with the authenticity of heritage.

The words of renowned animator Stéphane Bern accompany this visual and sensory odyssey, bringing their clarity and passion to a historical fresco as spectacular as it is moving.

Between reality and illusion, past and present, the spectator becomes the privileged witness of this living transmission, where history reinvents itself to illuminate memories and make Chartres’ heritage shine like never before.
