The show

What is the theme of the show?
The show is a timeless journey through the history of Chartres… It’s also an immersive experience with 3D video projections, sound and light effects.
In the half-light of a medieval cellar, the stones light up, the vaults come to life, and the history of Chartres unfolds before the spectators’ eyes. From the fervor of the builders to the marvels of stained glass, from the coronation of Henri IV to the bravery of Jean Moulin, in the footsteps of Fulbert, General Marceau and Charles Péguy, you’ll plunge into the heart of a thousand years of brilliance. A show where the past is reinvented through the magic of light and innovation.

What are the different prices on offer?

    – Children under 5 (4 years and 364 days)
  • Reduced rates – 13 euros incl. VAT
    – Children and teenagers aged 5 to 17 (included)
    – Students (on presentation of valid student card)
    – Disabled persons (at least 80%) (on presentation of card)
    – Accompanying disabled person
    – Unemployed or RSA beneficiaries (on presentation of proof)

I’m not connected or I don’t want to pay online: where can I buy my tickets?
You can buy your tickets at the ticket office at the entrance to the site, or at the tourist office or in Fnac, Cultura, Cora and Leclerc hypermarkets, Carrefour, Auchan.

How do I change the date of my reservation?
Here’s how to change the date of your reservation:
1) Log in to your Placeminute account
2) Click on My tickets > Actions > Change date
3) Choose your new slot, then click on “Change reservation date”.
4) Download your new tickets. They will also be sent to you by e-mail.
Please note: You can change your slot up to 2 hours before you come.

If I can’t make it, can I get a refund?
Yes, if you have taken out cancellation insurance on the Placeminute ticketing platform.

Are there any parking facilities nearby?

Can I use public transport to get to the show?
The venue is located in the city center, 100m from Chartres Cathedral, and the area is pedestrianized.

Is L’Enclos de Loëns accessible to people with reduced mobility?
No.
The immersive experience is located in the basement of the Enclos de Loëns, a listed historic monument. There is no access for people with reduced mobility.

What time do the doors open?
Doors open 10 minutes before the first performance and 20 minutes before the second.

How far in advance should I arrive to set up?
We recommend that you arrive at least 20 minutes in advance.

Is it standing room or seating?
Standing room only, but seats are available in the auditorium.

Is seating free or reserved?
Seating is free.

Is the venue heated?
Yes.

Are there toilets on site?
Yes.

Are pets allowed?
No.

Is food and drink allowed during the show?
No.
